  As an all rounder the new Kenwood NX-1000 cannot be beaten. This new digital radio offers NXDN or DMR digital capability. In addition it can be supplied in FM analogue mode. Mixed mode operation makes it easy for customers to migrate from legacy analogue systems to digital radio platforms.

  Basic and standard keypad models are offered. The option of a high contrast back-lit LCD display makes for more intuitive operation. Other features include multiple scan functions and various emergency profiles. Moreover the NX-1000 employs the widely used Kenwood 2 pin accessory connector.

  The NX-100 also uses the same batteries, chargers and accessories as other NX and legacy analogue radios.

Bluetooth is provided for convenient hands free operation and the integral GPS receiver permits location services when used in conjunction with the Kenwood KAS-10 or KAS-20 AVL mapping/dispatcher applications.

  Three versions are available comprising a simple version without a display or keypad, a mid tier version with a display and part keypad, and a fully featured model with full keypad and display. The range is complemented by a comprehensive suite of software licences to enhance the functionality of the radios.

  Its flexible design includes useful features such as Bluetooth for safe hands free operation. In addition the control head is removable and, with the optional KCT-71M2 or KCT-71M3 or KCT-71M4 control cables permits remote operation of the radio. Particularly useful with the space limitations of modern vehicles.

  Further customization is possible with the addition of any of the software upgrade licences including encryption options ,AVL and dispatch applications, front panel programming capability etc.
