The ICOM IC-SAT100 is the ideal mobile communication device especially where existing networks have been damaged or destroyed by natural or man made disasters.
The Iridium satellite network is truly global, including coverage of both poles and offers one to many mobile communications.
It also provides very low latency communications thanks to the 66 Iridium satellites and offers a broader and more reliable system for remote communications.
IC-SAT100 is very secure with AES256 bit encryption and a useful top mounted emergency button to summon assistance quickly in an emergency.
A very rugged yet compact satellite radio, the IC-SAT100 is submersible to IP67 and built to the toughest MIL STDS 810G environmental standards.
