The PT890Ex has a wider operating range from -25 to + 55Deg C in explosion proof areas resulting in safer operation under the most challenging conditions.
Furthermore PT890Ex has adopted the innovative silicon encapsulation technology which prevents liquid, inflammable dust and explosive gas from affecting internal circuits.
The battery has also acquired a new locking plate that stops sparking if the radio is dropped.
